Isaiah 32:16-18
The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever (Isaiah 32:17).

Understanding the benefits that come with knowing Christ will bring us great joy and blessings. The gift of righteousness we received when we gave our lives to Jesus Christ gives us access to God.  Through the new birth we became members of the household of God (Ephesians 2:19).

In addition, the Scriptures made us to understand that there is more. The Bible says, “And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever” (Isaiah 32:17, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition). It means righteousness will produce peace in us. Peace is the power of control. It is the power to remain
stable in every situation and be at rest because you know your heavenly father is in charge.

Friend, the gift of righteousness gives you the power of control to acknowledge that all shall be well when the storms of life are raging. For example, when you are facing great challenges at home, work or school, you can rest and know that God will take care of you, because He promised to do so and you will come out well in the end. This understanding will bring calmness in your heart and mind.

Friend, we have this power of control, let us use it to stand firm in our faith and remain strong as we pray and ask God to intervene in our life’s situations. May His peace fill your heart. Shalom.
