We Are Overcomers
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
Another reason we need to study this topic is to know that despite the increase in violence, famine, wars etc,
Christ has overcome for us and we are more than conquerors. We also study so we can know the things, that is,
the spiritual and physical blessings and provisions that the Lord has made available for us.
Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). It means you and I have been coded and designed for victory. It also means that in us is the power that overcomes any circumstances.
No wonder the Bible says, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans
8:37). There is a Spirit in you that fuels your spirit with the power of God and the love of God (See Ephesians 3:16;
Ephesians 1:19). Rely on Him to help you.
Friend, the overcoming power is in you. You need to know it, believe it and let it work for you. The present perilous
times in our world are not meant to sink you but to strengthen you. The troubled times are not meant to draw
you away from God but make you strong to stand firm and enforce the victory of Jesus. Hallelujah. Shalom.
