Walk In His Name

Micah 4:5
For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the LORD our God Forever and ever. (Micah 4:5).

Few days ago, we examined the need to be intentional in our relationship with God. Today, we would look at the need for us to be intentional in walking in the ways of our God and not be ashamed of His name.

The Bible says, “For all people walk each in the name of his god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever” (Micah 4:5). What does this mean to us in our time and our generation? For me, it means the following:

  1. We have to consciously declare that we know the Lord whenever the opportunity arises or we are
  2. We must walk in His Name. That is, live according to His word and ways.

Friend, let us not be shy to say that we are Christ’s followers. Let us not be intimidated by the large followership other religions enjoy and deny our God.

The New Contemporary Version says, “All other nations may follow their own gods, but we will follow the Lord our God forever and ever” (Micah 4:5). That is what we are to do.

Let us honor the Lord and we can be sure that He would honor us. See1 Samuel 2:30. May the Lord help you as you think on these things. Shalom.
