There Is A Reason

Romans 8:28-32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32).

Recently, the Lord taught me a lesson that made me to trust Him more. I had gone for an interview I believed God for. Close to the time the result was to be released, I became anxious. One morning, I had to face it and discussed the issue with Lord. I told Him with or without the promotion, He had been good to me and I wanted to have my peace back. That seemed to handle it. Any time my mind went to it, I knew that He would sort me out.

Unknown to me, the day the result was released, the Lord led me to study the life of Abraham in Genesis and John Chapter 11. He prepared me. Later on when I discovered that I did not make the list my thought was, “God, thank You. You must have a reason”. That settles it for me. I was not annoyed or bothered because I knew He had my best interest at heart. If I did not have the promotion at the time I wanted it, He knows why. Ultimately, all things will work for my good.

Friend, let us throw away our fears and draw closer to the Lord in faithful trust that if He loves us enough to give us Jesus, then there is nothing He will and cannot give us. Sometimes we may experience delays as in the case of Abraham, God has a reason. In the end, we will rejoice and be glad. We will laugh too. Shalom.

Your Turn
