The Year Of Peace

John 14:25-31
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hear t be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27).

Some of us may be surprised at today’s devotional title.2018 will be the year of peace for those who know the Lord and have chosen to believe His word and appropriate it to their lives.

As Jesus was getting ready to live this world, He told His disciples, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” ((John 14:27). Friend, the peace that Jesus left behind is still available to us.

Jesus, the prince of peace, is alive forever more. He sits on the throne to ensure that all the promises in Him are yea and Amen in our lives. See 2 Corinthians 1:20. We have been given the peace of God. Let us choose to live in it.

To live in it, you must fix your eyes on Jesus and His word. Focus on what He has done for us and what He says in the Bible about your situation and world events. Pray about your situations and hand them over to Him. See Philippians 4:6.

Chose to live in Christ’s peace and you will be at peace. The choice is yours. I choose to live in the peace Jesus gave me.

Shalom.
