The Practice Of Faith
Joshua 6:1-27
You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days.
Joshua 6:3.
Faith imparts the boldness to step out. It is boldness to act on your faith as you follow God’s instructions. The following are five things you need to understand when you are living in the expectation of faith as you wait for your miracle. They are things that God will do for you.
- Plan of action: The Holy Spirit will give you a plan of action telling you what you need to do concerning your
case. He told the Israelites, “March round the city”. - Wisdom: Wisdom to know what to do and what you need to do to get ready.
- Favour: God will cause men to favour you. They will g i v e to you and help you as you pursue His plans for your life. Rahab favoured the Jews and she was rewarded.
- Miracles: You will experience extraordinary miracles because you are walking in faith. The One that opens doors that no man can shut will bring you into your season of miracles.
- Extraordinary strength and joy: If there is anything I have learned this season, it is that faith infuses extraordinary strength and energy into us. You are joyful because you are expecting God to come through for you. With extraordinary strength, the Jews marched round the city seven times on the seventh day. And the wall fell down.
Friend, God is still speaking and giving direction in our days. We only need to listen as we wait on Him.
Your Turn
- Ask God to release these five graces of faith into your life.
Song: God is able to make all grace abound to you.
