The Lord’s Presence – Our Victory

Judges 1:19
So the Lord was with Judah. And they drove out the mountaineers…

When I read today’s focal text, I could relate to what the writer meant when he says: “The Lord was with Judah”. I have testimonies of the Lord’s victories. The Lord has been my help. He has delivered me from many snares of life. His presence in my life continues to make all the difference. To Him be all the glory. I know you have your testimonies of the Lord’s faithfulness too. Praise Him for it.

Friend, it is worth stating that the Lord’s presence in our life is not for nothing. His presence is there to guide us. God will never be with you and watch the enemy attack you. That is not His nature. The psalmist writes, “The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me” (Psalm 118:7). When the Lord is with you, He will help you and grant you the victory you need.

With God’s presence and help the men of Judah won and possessed the city of Bethel. Before you set out on that journey, please take the time to pray and commit your ways into His hands; when you do you are assured of victory. If we fail to acknowledge Him, we may have ourselves to blame. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Are you acknowledging the Lord’s presence in every area of your life?
  • Is the Lord’s presence making a difference in you and your circumstances? Talk to God.

Song: We are victorious. Yes, we are victorious.
