The Fear Of God

Luke 12: 4-7
But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell;
yes, I say to you, fear Him!
Luke 12:5

Jesus taught on the need to fear God. The aim is to recognize and know that God is above all and He has all powers. He stated, “I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!” (Luke 12:5). We are to fear God because He has power beyond this life.

God has the power to cast into hell. That is the second death and eternal separation from Him. According to the
Scriptures, once sent to hell by God, it is over. There is no repentance nor return from hell.

Why do we need this message now? It is to refocus our thoughts and have our priorities right. Many of us fear the
powers of darkness and other people but we do not fear God. We fear demonic attacks and powers more than we
fear God.

We do things that are not right in the name of grace and that God would understand. It is time to have our thinking right. God is more powerful. The Bible says, “The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and
bringeth up” (1 Samuel 2:6, KJV). He is the Comptroller General of the whole creation. Let us fear God. The rest will
be set right. Shalom.
