Thanksgiving Day
Psalm 105:1-5
Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!
Psalm 105:1
We pause in our study to give thanks to the Lord. He has kept us for the first month of the year. Our God deserves our praise. He has done mighty works in our lives. Let us praise Him.
The Psalmist encourages us to give thanks because He is a good God. We are to;
- Call upon His name. Tell the world about His marvelous deeds in our lives.
- Sing praises to tell of His wondrous works.
- Glory in His Holy name and seek Him because He is powerful.
- Remember what He has done.
Has the Lord done anything for you since the beginning of the year? Praise Him. Has God answered your prayers? Give Him thanks. Can you remember what He has done for you in the past years? Praise Him. Are you believing Him for anything in the days, weeks and months to come? Praise Him in advance.
Are you in any kind of trouble and all hope seem to be lost? Praise God anyway. Remember, your praise will confuse the enemy. It will attract the presence of God into your life. Let your praise rise to the Lord as you give Him the glory due to His Name today. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Praise God for His many blessings in your life, family, church, community and nation.
