Stand Strong In Grace
2 Timothy 2:1-7
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1, NIV).
This month we are encouraged to be strong in the grace that we have received in Christ Jesus. For, by grace are we saved and through grace we can stand strong and continue to serve and worship the Lord our Maker. We cannot please God in our own strength; it has to be through His grace.
How can we stand strong in grace? We can do this when we:
1. Hold on to the truth we know about God.
2. Share the truth we know with others so that we all can be continually encouraged to stand strong.
3. Train others on the truth we know.
4. Remain focused on the goal of making heaven and living for God. There is a need for us to hold on to eternal perspective in every situation.
5. Be committed to our ministry. Paul admonished us to be focused in 2 Timothy 2:4. We all have gifts we can use to serve one another well. See 1 Peter 4:10
6. Reflect on the ways of Christ regularly.
Remember, we remain in the vine when we abide in Him.
