Results Of Open Heaven

Matthew 4:12-25
And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast … (Matthew 4:15).

After the incident at age 12, when He stayed back at Jerusalem, nobody heard of Jesus until the day He came for His impartation. He was behind the scene waiting on His Father for the appointed time. When the time came He could not speak until the heavens were open.

Below are some of the blessings of the open heaven that Jesus had:

  1. Divine direction: The Spirit made Him to know what He needs to do following His baptism. This we see in        verses 12-16.
  2. Divine utterance: He knew which message to preach. He needed no one to teach Him homiletics and        hermeneutics because the Spirit came on Him without measure (1 John 2:20, 22).
  3. Divine wisdom: From the gospels, we understand that

Jesus was always at the right place at the right time. The Father revealed things to Him and He does them here on earth. See John 5.

The above are few benefits that I believe everyone should desire. Let us learn how to discern to be at the right place at the right time so that it will be easy for us to contact the grace of God.

Remember, God will not lead you to where His grace will not attend to you.  When we seek Him, His counsel will be made known to us.

Shalom.
