Remember Me, O Lord

Nehemiah 13:14
Remember me with favor, my God, for all I have done for these people. (Nehemiah 5:19, NIV).

Friend, what you do not tell God sometimes He may not do it. That is why He gives us an invitation to call upon His name and ask for what we need. That is why we have been given the privilege to pray.

Mark 11:24 says, “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” The problem is that sometimes we have certain desires but they have remained unvoiced and never mentioned to the Father of all spirits who can do something about them.

Sometimes I experience it largely because I am not sure whether it is His will or not. At other times, it may just be the lack of strong desire to take them to the Lord.

However, from the passage we read, Nehemiah modeled bold prayers for us. Six times in the book named after him, he asked the Lord to remember. Four times he prayed that God would remember him, and two times that God would remember his enemies.

Today, we will pray and ask God to remember us for good. We want to live a life of integrity and be intentional in our relationship with Him. Let us ask for it. Ask God to visit you and remember His promises. Tell Him your desire too. God will answer us. Shalom.
