Rejoice In Advance
Psalm 67:1-8
Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on earth.
Psalm 67:4.
Today, we will rejoice in anticipation of the fulfillment of God’s promises. We will praise God in advance for the
new things to be birthed in our lives.
Amid the great darkness and turmoil that are coming, God will create windows of joy and celebration for us. The “shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous” (Psalm 118:15). Friend, keep hope alive. God will cause you to rejoice.
You will draw water out of the well of salvation with great joy (Isaiah 12:3). The more you praise Him, the more you will see reasons to rejoice and celebrate. The Bible says, “Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us” (Psalm 67:5-6).
Many of us have become problem-conscious and challenge focused that we have lost the joy of praising, worshiping and dancing before the Lord. We have become indifferent that we do not know how to thank God with joy in our hearts. It is time to change this narrative. Our God remains good all the time.
Let us become “rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith… abounding in it with thanksgiving” (Colossians 2:7). I am expectant and I know God will give me many reasons to rejoice before Him. Be expectant too. Shalom.
