Isaiah 49:14-26
But thus says the Lord: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible  be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25).

Today, we will pray for Nigeria. No matter where you are, let us stand together and pray for the nation. I see
bloodshed; I hear cries of women and children. I see confusion as many try to flee from different parts of the
country to another.

In the past, when such things happen people run to their villages, but now the villages are no longer safe. They have
been overrun by the enemy. Yet, the Lord says, “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah
49:25).

Thus, through prayer we can stop the intention of the enemy. The shouting and the prideful display of the evil ones to celebrate various high days of blood sacrifice in Nigeria can be stopped.

Let us come together, pray and ask God to contend for us. Let us repent of our sins and call on Him, He will hear our
prayers. Let us ask Him to deliver the prey from the hand of the terrible. Let us form prayer teams as the time to give birth to another government draws nearer.

“It is time to pray”, say the Lord. It is time to pray, “Destroy, Lord”. It is time to pray, “Contend for us and save us from the hand of the wicked”. Let us pray.
