Psalm 115
Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth. (Psalm 115:1).

We praise the Lord because He has not allowed our enemies to say, “Where is our God”. God has kept us, protected and defended us. Today we can praise Him for His faithfulness and love.

Another reason we praise the Lord is that He is the living God. He continues to work in our lives to show that He is the God of the Living. When we pray He hears us. When we call on Him, He responds to us.  He responds to our feelings and emotions.

No wonder the Bible says, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin”(Hebrews 4:15, KJV).

The gods of the heathen are not like our gods. They have eyes and ears but they cannot see nor hear. Our God is the relational God, who meets with us and loves to speak with us. Let us praise Him for this and for being there for us at all time.

Many of us do not have other confidants like the Lord, the one who knows our failings yet chooses to love us continually.  He is worthy of our praise.

Friend, “The dead do not praise the LORD, nor any who go down into silence” (Psalm 115:17). Play your role. Praise Him today. Shalom.
