John 1:50 – 51
And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man” (John 1: 51).

Open heaven is an unhindered demonstration in the earth of God’s power and presence as it is in heaven. It is the manifestation of God’s own presence and glory. When we are living under an open heaven, life indeed becomes like living in heaven on earth.

Living life becomes easier because we have the Lord with us and He is helping us. We live in peace and everything seems to be happening the way we want it. Victories are won easily and obstacles are removed effortlessness. You wonder why? It is because God’s presence and glory is unhindered, flows and has taken residence in an individual, group, church or nation.

Nathaniel was a man already favored by God. He was living under a measure of grace. When Jesus saw Nathaniel, He saw his heart that he was a man without offence.  He told him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man” (John 1:51).

He tipped him off by saying you need to see the heavens open because it will reveal to you another dimension of God and why you need to pursue Him to another level. If there is no reason to seek open heaven, these ones are good enough reasons. May the Lord teach us more of His ways. Shalom.
