O! God Show Me Wisdom

Genesis 26: 1-6, 12-17
Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you …Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him (Genesis 26: 2, 12).

ne of the longings in my heart is to experience God in the way that I read about Him in His word. I want to be an evidence of the power of His word. I want to show that the word works and God is still in the business of making many mighty. He is the covenant keeping God.

The passage we read showed that God is the One who makes a man. When God leads and you obey Him by doing what He says, you are in for a miracle. This is what happened to Isaac. When God spoke to him, he obeyed. We were told “Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him” (Genesis 26:12). His testimony is there for us to read and follow.

Today, let us make out time to pray, and ask God to show us what to do. I know there is a prepared place for us. The famine that is ravaging the nations is not meant to affect us if we are standing in our righteousness. When in Goshen, the Israelites did not experience what happened in Egypt.

It is then a paradox that the unbelievers are the ones prospering now and believers are complaining. Ask the Lord to show mercy and help us. The Lord will hear us and lead us. Let us pray.

Your Turn

  • Ask the Lord to open your ears to hear and your eyes to see what you need to hear and see so that you can prosper.
  • Pray for ministers of the gospel that they may teach word of faith in the God who is able.

Hymn: Turn your eyes upon Jesus.
