Deuteronomy 32:9-20
He made him ride in the heights of the earth, that he might eat the produce of the fields; He made him to draw … oil from the flinty rock.
Deuteronomy 32:13.

God wants to make every nation His inheritance and dwell with them. This is the reason He chose Israel. He wanted
to make them an example so we can learn from them. But our attitude and response to God in our various nations have not demonstrated that we want to receive the love of God or love Him in return.

Our environment and natural resources are evidence that we are a people God has caused to ride on the heights of the earth. God has blessed us with so much. There is no nation on earth that God did not give what they need to sustain them or what they can exchange with other nations to obtain what they need.

But what have we given back to God for all these benefits? We have caused the wealth, blessings and endowments He gave us to become the source of crisis, marginalization of the poor and the minorities, monopoly of the wealth by few including bloodshed in some nations.

Hear this: Any nation that grows fat and forsakes God who made them will be dealt with by the Lord. To reverse God’s impending judgment (I believe it has started), we need to seek the Lord and ask for mercy so the intensity of the judgment that is coming will be reduced.
