Make It A Regular Habit

1 Samuel 15:7-23
Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
(1 Samuel 15: 22).

Susan became born again at the age of four and she has been serving the Lord since then. While in the boarding school as a teenager, she made another commitment to the Lord. And for her that seals it. During her undergraduate studies, she met Adams whose commitment to the Lord was not as strong as hers.

Along the line, she fell into sexual sins with him and lost her joy and confidence in the Lord. She prayed and sought help. Thank God for the godly counsel and prayers she received. She was restored. Today, she is happily married and serves in the teenagers’ department of her church.

Friend, “Repentance has never been popular with the flesh”, says Tommy Tenney. But we must be ready to do it. The difference between King Saul and King David was their attitude to sin. Show David his fault, he would confess it and worship his way into the heart of the Father for forgiveness. King Saul would have an explanation for sinning.

We pass the buck because we are yet to understand the wickedness of the heart. Let us stop the blame game and face our sins. The devil sets us up to sin, in order to shift us from the place of our covenant peace and freedom. Run to the Father, He will abundantly pardon you. Shalom.
