Intentional Discipleship

Micah 4:1 – 5
Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths”. For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. (Micah 4:2).

Friend, I believe God’s word will come to pass. Despite the increase in the number of those who are seeking other gods, many are still pursuing the way of peace. They are hungry for God. They want to fill the emptiness in their hearts with the life of God.

This is where we come in. We must respond to these seekers so that they would not miss their way or fall into the hands of false teachers who peddle wrong doctrines about the way of Christ. The question is: Is the church ready? Are we ready to engage in goaloriented discipleship so that the yearnings and the hunger in the hearts of God seekers will be met?

The thoughts of God seekers are revealed to us in Micah 4:2: “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD… He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths…” What they want is to learn the way of the Lord, we must prepare.

How can we do this?

  1. Prepare through prayer and study of the word of

God.

  1. Develop and engage in various discipleship activities. 3. Design various materials that would serve as a guide            to those who would teach.
  2. Invest in training and supporting discipleship       teachers amongst us.

The Lord expects our action. Let us repsond. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Pray for yourself and your church as you have been ministered to.
  • Pray that we will not fail God in this duty.
