John 15:1-8
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. (John 15:7).

We would look at more ways to sustain our open heaven.

Your word content: Ensure that the volume of God’s word that is in your heart is not shallow. It would be strange to call ourselves Christians and the words of Christ are not dwelling in our hearts richly in all wisdom as it ought to be. See Colossians 3:16.

Friend, your heart must be full of God’s word. This is what Christ is telling us in today’s passage. When we abide in Him and His word abides in us, we will have power in the place of prayer and be able to resist satan steadfastly as we have been commanded.

There is a synergy between the word and prayer. They are mutually inclusive. It is prayers that are based on the word of God that would get heaven’s attention. See 1 John 5:14.  Having God’s word in your heart also helps you to keep a clean heart. See John 15:3.

Increase your love: Those who have learnt how to abide in God’s love are the ones who have learnt how to stay under His watchful eyes of love. They do not go where His eyes and love will not go with them. The world is offering us many ways to manage our lives, we must not fall to the temptation. The word of God is our guide. Shalom.
