Honor For The Son

John 5:19 – 23
The Father wants all people to honor the Son as much as  they honor him. When anyone refuses to honor  the Son,  that is the same as refusing to honor the Father who sent him. (John 5:23, CEV).

To honor simply means to show respect. One of the things I have realized is that many do not argue about Jesus being a special person. What they dispute is the claim that He is Lord and the Son of God.

The contention in many cases has been about who He says He is. Jesus describes Himself as the son of God. God confirmed it when He speaks saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”(Matthew 3:17).

Those who refuse to honor the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, cannot claim that they serve the same God as us. We also must be confident to carefully explain Him to them. Their views of Him must not be allowed to overshadow ours. The Lord knows the truth and His words are final.Since God’s witness cannot be denied, we must be bold to declare who Jesus is to the world as the Lord God has revealed Him to us. We must honor the Son and tell others. The Bible says, “The Father wants all people to honor the Son as much as they honor him. When anyone refuses to honor the Son, that is the same as refusing to honor the Father who sent him” (John 5:23, CEV).

Shalom.
