He Will Make Us
Matthew 4:18-22
Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19).
Rupert said, “A buried talent is never a buried treasure.
Talents become treasures only through use”. When we pray and God brings people into His fold, He has the capacity to train them and make them His disciples. God is able to turn their buried talents into treasure as they respond to the call to serve.
Our role as the church is to provide the right environment, teaching and appropriate support system for them to grow. Jesus told the disciples, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). He is the One who makes us to become who He wants us to be. The same God who called Peter and made him a leader amongst the disciples, also called John to bear the message of the end time.
The same God who made Peter an Apostle to the Jews, made Paul an Apostle to the Gentiles. God will do what He wants with us. Let us be available and He will support us to do the rest. Let us watch and pray. When they come, we must be ready to train and equip them.
The new laborers will grow and continue the harvest. In this way the cycle continues. May the Lord speak to you more on this issue in Jesus’ Name. Shalom.
