He Trusts Us

Luke 12:41-48
Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes (Luke 12:43).

Reading through today’s passage, one of the thoughts that come to mind is the fact that the master trusts his servant
and expects him to do well. In this way, we can say that the master is a good man and has high regard for his servant.

Friend, I believe also that the Lord Jesus trusts us. That is why He gave us good and perfect gifts to serve Him and our fellow human beings (see Ephesians 4; James 1:17). The Bible says, “Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes” (Luke 12:43). It means the Lord expects us to be faithful steward of the gifts and calling He has given us. How faithful are we?

Apostle Peter writes, “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold
grace of God” (1 Peter 4:10). Paul, the Apostle, lends his voice saying, “It is required in stewards that one be found
faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2).

Friend, the master trusts us we must not fail Him. When we do our part, we can be assured that God will reward us. Hear him: “He will make him ruler over all that he has” (Luke 12:44-45).That is, tremendous blessings await us when we are found faithful. May the Lord help us to focus our energy on what matters most. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Pray for yourself as you have been ministered to.
  • Ask the Lord for the grace and the willingness to be faithful.
