Daniel 1:1-21
God gave these four men knowledge, wisdom, and the ability to understand all kinds of literature. Daniel could also understand all kinds of visions and dreams (Daniel 1:17, God’s Word Translation).

We serve the unlimited God. The earlier we begin to relate with Him with this understanding the better for us. The truth is that we are the ones who have a lot to gain from our relationship with Him. We are the ones who need Him because He is the self-sustaining, self – existing God.

Therefore, when I say He provides wisdom, it is because I have experienced Him in this dimension and I can testify to it. The passage we read showed how God rewarded Daniel and his friends for their commitment to Him. He gave them the favor and wisdom they needed to perform well to be chosen as exceptional students.

The Bible says, “God gave these four men knowledge, wisdom, and the ability to understand all kinds of literature” (Daniel 1:17a).  This verse was one of the verses I held on to as a PhD student. I knew I had to read a lot of materials and understand them. I was also required to have a good thesis following my research work. God did it. He gave me understanding in all kinds of literature and I was able to tutor subjects that I did not know previously.

Friend, God gives wisdom. We must ask Him for it that is what the Scripture says in James 1:5. If you need this, ask for it. God will answer you. Shalom.
