He Provides Favour

Esther 2:1-18.
Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations  to her, besides her allowance (Esther 2:9).

Queen Esther’s story is that of favor personified. Through her life we see how God favors a man and lifts them from

the dungeon to make them to sit with the princes of the land. Through her, we see how the God of wonders makes nobody to become somebody. Through her life, we see the transformation that could happen in our lives if we obtain favour from the Lord.

Friend, the good news is that our God still provides favor. He still changes stories and lifts men up. That is what He did when He visited Jesse’ family and chose his son, David, to become king in Israel. That is what He did when He chose Gideon’s family, the least in his clan, to lead his people to war. God is still at work today.

We have experienced God’s favor in the past. We need more of it. We can experience it more if we increase our knowledge that He provides favor and ask Him to favor us.  Through faith in Him, we can activate the faith that He has surrounded us with. See Psalm 5:12.

Esther received favor from the eunuch; she was treated differently from the rest of the girls in Harem. She made it to the king’s presence and became Queen Esther. The Lord wants to lift someone. Ask Him for favor today. Shalom.
