Happy Christmas
Luke 2:1-14
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people” (Luke 2:10).
Joy to the world, the Lord is come. That is there sounding song all over the world today. We sing this song with the rest of the saints and the holy angels too.
The birth of Jesus brought us joy. It brought hope and salvation to mankind. Not only that, His birth bought peace on earth to mankind. The heavenly hosts declare, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:14). Those who know Him and receive Him as their Savior also have peace with God (Romans 5:1NLT).
The news of the birth of Jesus brought great joy to the shepherds as the angels announced it to them: “Don’t be
afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior yes, the Messiah, the Lord has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David” (Luke:2:10, NLT). The release of great joy is what the Lord intends to happen all over the world as men and women put their trust in Him.
When they do, they will be filled with joy because salvation is the essence of the gospel. That is why the gospel is called the good news. As you go out today, be a witness and bring joy to others. Tell them about the love of this Saviour to you and your love for Him. Merry Christmas.
