God Will Restore

Ruth 4:13-22
So Boaz took Ruth into his home, and she became his wife. When he slept with her, the LORD enabled her to become pregnant, and she gave birth to a son (Ruth 4:13, NLT).

Friend, no matter where we are on our journey of recovery and restoration, it is God who will help and enable us to be productive again. The truth remains, “exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another” (Psalm 75:6-7). We need Him all the way.

For Ruth, God restored her life following the loss of her husband of ten years with no child. When she relocated to a new land with a different culture, God was with her. He helped, restored and blessed her. Although, she could not have a child in her first marriage, God changed that. The Bible says, “The LORD enabled her to become pregnant, and she gave birth to a son”.

Friend, take courage and look to the Lord. Maybe men have called you barren and you have been told that your business will never be revived again or that you will never hold down a job following  the recession, you can take courage from the story of Ruth and pray to the One who gives the ability to conceive to empower you and restore you again.

Remember, “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (see Psalm 30:5). The Lord will visit you; you will conceive and bear the miracle that you desire in Jesus’ Name. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • In what areas of your life do you need the Lord to enable you to conceive and be productive again?
  • Pray that the Lord will visit you and empower you to birth a new thing.

Song: He is the Lord. He is Lord. Amen.
