God Is Faithful
1 Corinthians 10: 1-14
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able…
(1 Corinthians 10:13, New American Standard Bible).
riend, God is faithful. We can trust Him with our lives when we face challenges. First, let us not be idolators because we thought the help we ask of Him is not coming and we run to seek other gods for help.
Second, we must not be immoral doing things that displease God. The men of old did this; they lost the opportunity of entering into the Promised Land.
We hold on in the time of adversity, trials and problems because God is faithful. He will not allow what would destroy us to happen to us. From this stand of faith, we can trust Him to take care of us, fight our battles for us and grant us the victory and deliverance that we need.
Many times we have run ahead of God because we lack this understanding of God’s faithfulness. We make poor decisions with grave consequences. Many times these consequences remain with us for life. Abraham and Sarah did it and we are stuck with crises between His two sons for the entire human race.
Wait on God. Remember, “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also…”(1 Corinthians 10:13, New American Standard Bible). Shalom.
