Judges 13:1-6
And he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines (Judges 13:5).

The Bible says, “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:6). While the Israelites were sinning and continued to displease the Lord, God was planning their rescue from the hands of their enemy.

Amazingly, His plans included visiting a family who had no child. Mrs. Manoah was confirmed barren by God and man. But because of His mercy and His bigger purpose, He chose her and reversed her barrenness. She was chosen to bear the next Judge, Samson. His mission would be to begin the deliverance of the Jews from the hands of the Philistines.

In the same way, I believe that while we may be going through difficult times right now, God has a plan. He is working behind the scene and planning our deliverance. While our children and loved ones may be walking away from the Lord and doing things that we may be ashamed of, we can be rest assured that God in His infinite mercy is planning their rescue and restoration.

Why do I believe this? God has promised to save them. See Proverbs 19:21; Isaiah 49:25. Since God cannot lie. His word will come to pass. Like the prodigal son’s father we will rejoice and celebrate when it is all over. God has a good plan for our lives and our children. Believe it and so shall it be. Shalom.
