Favor Is A Sign
Ruth 1:19-22
So the two of them continued on their journey. When they came to Bethlehem, the entire town was excited by their arrival (Ruth 1:19, NLT).
One of the powerful truths about favor is that it is a sign from God. It is one of the signs of God’s approval. It demonstrates to us that God is at work and that something good is about to happen in your life or around you. Favor is so important that even Jesus grew in it before God and men (Luke 2:52).
Although in pain for her loss and emptiness, Naomi’s return to Bethlehem received favor from God and men. From God, she arrived in the season of harvest when God had blessed His people and the famine that led to their departure was now over. From men, because when she arrived she was received with joy.
Despite Naomi’s perception of the situation, God granted her a warm reception to tell her that her season of change had come. She failed to recognize it. Friend, it is my prayer that the Lord will favor you today, send someone to favor you and show you a sign that your time of change is around the corner.
It does not matter what you see now, God is turning things around in your favor, He will restore the years you have lost because His promises are yea and amen, in Christ Jesus (See Joel 2: 25; 2 Corinthians 1:20). Do not neglect the force of favor when it manifests in your life. Remember, what you recognize will increase in your life. What you are ungrateful for will decrease in your life. Shalom.
