Expectant Hope
Psalm 130: 1-8
I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. (Psalm 130:5).
Friend, I can hear the sound of the abundance of rain, therefore, be hopeful because God is coming to help you. He will restore all the lost years. He is a good God, who rejoices in the prosperity of His people.
He says, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you”(Joel 2:25). God opens the heaven to us because He loves us and He is merciful.
When He chooses to restore you, no one can stop it. See Isaiah 45:1. God knows that many of our blessings have been locked away by the enemy because of our sins and inconsistent walk with Him. But now He says, “I am coming to open the doors and to lead you into a new season. Wait on Me and I will help you”.
Friend, I believe God’s word and on this I rest my hope for renewal and open heaven. Let the Lord hear your cry today. Wait on Him for mercy and not for judgment. Suddenly, as it happened to the disciples in the upper room in Acts Chapter 2, God will remember you and open the heavens unto you in His mercy. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Thank God for being so merciful to forgive and to restore us.
- Ask for His mercy today.
Song: Merciful, merciful, merciful, merciful.
