Do You Believe?

Romans 6:1-14
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection (Romans 6:5).

Friend, if the Scripture says, “I am one with Christ”, I believe it. If it says, I have been united with Christ, I believe it. Sometimes, I think our problem is rooted in our arguing and rationalising God’s word with our limited mind. Yet, rationalising God’s word has never helped anyone.

For example, if God says that if you believe the message of the kingdom and receive it, you will become a new creation, why do we argue in our minds, thoughts and words and think there must be another way to God? It is my prayer that we will not rationalise our salvation away in Jesus’ Name.

The Bible says, “For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness  of His resurrection” (vs. 5). When Jesus died, we died with Him. When He rose up, we rose with Him. We have access to what He has access to. All He did was for us. John the Apostle writes, “As he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

It does not matter how you feel, believe what the word of God says and act on it. Do not allow your mind to hinder you from receiving the reward that comes to those who seek the Lord. Human reasoning will block out Heavens’ grace. Do not be a victim. Shalom.
