Believe In Favor

Psalm 5:1-12
For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield (Psalm 5:12).

I am a believer in the power of favor and what favor can do in a man’s life. Few years ago, I dedicated an edition of this devotional to the topic, Unlimited Favor. Why do I believe in favor? It is because I know that favor is a game changer. Favor is the door opener. Favor breaks protocol and causes men to do you good.

Friend, as you seek recovery and change, you need to arm yourself with the belief that you will be favored by God and man. Ruth believed in favor, expected favour and received it. The Bible says, “For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12).

Why would God surround us with something that is not needed or useful? Remember, God is not a waster. God knows that favor is what will attract men to you to help you. Favor is the fragrance of God’s grace on your life. It distinguishes you and causes men to be compelled to help you.

When God favors you, you will have life and you will have good understanding (see Proverbs 3:1-4). Ruth understood this principle. Her faith in favor led her to Boaz’s field. Friend, when we believe in favor, favor will procure good things for us. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Confess your sins to the Lord and ask for forgiveness.
  • Confession: I walk in favor because God’s favor surrounds me. I expect to be favored daily because God has ordained it.

Song: All over the world the Spirit is moving.
