Be A Fruit Bearing Branch

John 15:1-2
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.(John 15:2b).

God has placed in us the desire for growth and abundance. It is therefore abnormal for someone to feel contented at a level and decides to build a tabernacle when there is more land to conquer.

Those who live a stagnated life will not enjoy God’s open heaven for too long. Because open heaven usually comes with rain. The rain will lead to growth.  Afterwards, we are responsible for what we do with this rain.

The Bible says, “Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned” (Hebrews 5:7-8, NIV). It means that open heaven comes with responsibility.

When we refuse to accept and do the work that is required, we may be cut off. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away” (John 15:2) means the areas that are unproductive will be cut off. However, those who bear fruits, God will train and discipline in order to do better.

What has God put in your hands that you can use to bless others and bear fruit for the kingdom? God is a wise investor; do not waste His talents in you. Shalom.
