A Season Of Worship

Revelation 4:1-11
You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created  (Revelation 4:11).

One cardinal point of the Lord’s Prayer is the phrase:

“Your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Since we believe this when we pray, then it is also time for us to do the second part-Worship the King of kings.

Revelation 4:11 says, “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created  (vs. 11). In another place it says, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” (Revelation 5:12).

Friend, our God is worthy. He deserves our worship. We have been instructed to worship because we are alive.“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” (Psalm 150: 6). The Bible also says, “Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness” (Psalm 29:1-2).

Since we have breath we will praise the Lord for the gift of life. We are alive and we have partaken of His blessings, mercy and grace, we will praise Him for that too. May the Lord grant us many more reasons to worship the Lord God Almighty. Shalom.
