A Holy Habitation
Genesis 28:10-22
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” (Genesis 28:16).
There are places with perpetual open heaven around the world. I have heard of an open heaven characterized by a holy habitation that exists at the prayer mountain in Seoul, South Korea. Same has been said of other prayer cities and camps.
For example, there is a church in the city where I live, it used to be the headquarters of the parent church before its relocation to another city. Any time I was distressed, needed a touch from God or a place to pray, and I worshipped there in the morning on weekdays, I always knew that God was there.
Unknown to Jacob he slept in a holy habitation. His encounter with God unveiled that to him. He said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it … How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven” (Genesis 28:16 -17).
Friend, it is my prayer that we will be alert to know when God is in a place and respond to Him in worship. God’s presence thrives in the midst of worship. See Psalm 22:3. When we learn how to praise God, He will inhabit our praises and the heaven over our lives, gatherings, churches and cities would open. Think of these things. Shalom.
