Faith Killers

Mark 11:12-14; 21
And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”
Mark 11:21.

Faith killers are things that steal faith from us. They cause our faith to fail. There are many factors, but we will look
at a few of them.

Circumstantial evidence: This is the number one faith killer. When we have developed faith in the promises of God
concerning an area and we have prayed believing we have received according to Mark 11:23, yet the situation remains unchanged. The evidence that the problem still exists can kill our faith.

First, it can create fear that God does not want to answer our prayer. This might create leakage in our faith. Secondly, it may attract doubt and unbelief that God may not do it or it is not His will for me to be healed, married or have children, etc.

Solution: Friend, relax! God loves you. That your circumstances have not changed does not mean He is not doing something about it. The fig tree in Mark 11 did not dry up immediately because its death must take place at the root
so that it does not grow again! If it took one day for Jesus’ word to manifest, then relax; don’t let the physical evidence fool you. God is working on your case. He will answer you.

Sometimes we may receive instant answers and miracles; at other times we may need to wait. Keep on building your faith. God’s word works. Shalom.
