Luke 6:46-48
He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock (Luke 6:48).

The time to build our faith on the word of God is now before trouble comes. The time to build our house on the Rock is now before more evil is unleashed into our world.

Hear this: It is not going to get better. It will get worse based on the knowledge of the word of God that we have. The earlier we get familiar with the word of God and decide to live in it the better for us. However, the good news is that those who stand for God will have God to stand for them and fight for them.

Another reason we need to build our life on the word of God is because His word will serve as promises and prophesies for us to use to contend with the enemy in the time of evil. The Bible says, “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare” (1 Timothy 1:18).

The word of God is a weapon. It is a sword in our hands and mouth to counter every satanic plot. We can win, and we will win with the word of God. May the Lord help you to know and understand that you are building your spiritual arsenal for the days to come as you read these devotionals and study the word of God daily. Shalom.
