Don’t Be A Thomas

John 20:19- 29
Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe. (John 20:25).

Friend, this quarter you must decide not to be a doubting Thomas.

God will be doing some awesome things in and outside the church. We must position ourselves to receive the good things He would do for us.

In the church, I am expecting God to create an awakening in our hearts so that we can rise up from slumber and stand as the army of the Lord. When this happens, doubters would pause and rethink their position about the existence of our God. Those who fail to believe that God is still doing wonders may miss His visitation.

If you fail to believe the word that is preached to you, you will remain an unproductive and unfruitful servant. The Apostle, Thomas, was not there when Jesus met the other disciples. When they narrated their encounter with the Lord to him, he did not believe them.

However, he was lucky that Jesus returned, and said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29). This means in the kingdom of God believing comes before seeing. When you believe you will see the salvation of God. Until you show God your faith you may not see the result you are expecting.

May the Lord help us in Jesus’ Name. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • How strong is your expectation of God’s intervention in your life and in the life of your church?
  • Pray that your faith will stand strong as you believe the word of the Lord for this season.
