It Is A Light Thing

2 Kings 3:9-24
This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord; he will also deliver Moab into your hands. (2 Kings 3:18).

We used to say, “The old time religion is the best for us”. But I dare to say that the old time religion was not practiced by the people of old the way we do today. People of old believed God and God stood for them in their time of need.

In our passage, Jehoshaphat stood by his faith in God. When the hour of need came, he sought God. If we are going to practice faith the way they did, then we must follow their example. Our deliverance is “a light thing” in the sight of God. But we must seek Him as they did.

We must be resolute in our faith to seek God. God is looking for a people who believe in Him and will give Him the glory afterwards. The word of the Lord is still among us. Who will seek it and believe it? Will the Lord find me and will He find you? God is raising a new army to demonstrate His power through and we must not fail Him. Shalom.I enjoy seeking God’s face in prayer, hearing Him and seeing Him at work as it happened in this passage when I follow the instruction that He gives me in the place of prayer. It brings joy to a soul to know that our God is alive and He still does wonders.
