A Revived Congregation

Hosea 6:1-3.
After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. (Hosea 6:2).

Some of the ways to open the heaven that we have touched on are applicable to a congregation. However, I want to emphasize the issue of worship and intercession in opening the heaven over a local church. As a church, we must humble ourselves, pray and seek God’s face.

Hosea believed that when we seek Him, He will answer. He said, “After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight” (Hosea 6:2). Personally, I am tired of the current state of the church and my inconsistency and that of my fellow believers. We need revival!

I believe we ought to be organizing more revival prayer meetings for divine visitations in our churches, nation and the world at large rather than spend time competing on who has the largest congregation or choir.

Our generation may not benefit more from our breakthrough services if we do not offer them fresh water of worship and fresh bread of God’s word. We need a house of prayer and worship.

Good sermons and good songs will not save the world. It is only worship and prayer that will do it. Let us open the gates of heaven and close the gates of hell as we intercede and worship God for revival to break forth. Come Lord Jesus! Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Lord, send down revival into Your church, let it start from the pulpit to the pews. Amen.

Song: There is none like You.
