And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. (Leviticus 27:30).

ithing is another way of opening the heaven over our lives. God promises to do so. He says, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse… and try Me now in this…If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10).

One of the areas of my life that I normally check whenever I begin to sense that things are not right between me and God or that I am not as ‘tight spiritually’ as I ought to be, is the area of tithing. The question I ask myself is, “Is my tithing life okay and up to date?”

I believe there is a connection between tithing and the ability to receive insights and revelation from the word of God. One of the things that your heaven brings to you is a fresh revelation of God’s word. So, if you need open heaven, pay your tithe. We cannot afford to trivialize this. We know that a blessing awaits us when we obey God’s command.

You have much to gain and nothing to lose when you give to the Lord and pay your tithe. When you pay your tithe, the Lord will open the floodgate of heaven for you. May the Lord help us on this issue in Jesus’ Name. Shalom.
