Several Ways God Provides (1)
Genesis 45:1-15; Luke 6:38
And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance (Genesis 45:7).
The Bible says, “Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant”(Psalm 35:27). God is concerned about our needs. He wants to prosper us. We have seen in the past few days that God can meet our every need; we will look at the various ways that He provides for us. Jentenzen Franklin described four ways. They include:
- The hands of men. God will bless you through the hands of men. For example, God sent Joseph ahead of the children of Israel in order to prepare before their arrival. From Luke 6:38, we understand that if we have given to anyone and to God before, we can expect Him to give to us in return. Even if you have failed to do your part God will still provide for you. He is our source.
- Supernatural blessings. God blesses you from His own hands. This could be from uncommon sources of supply. God could cause you to have favor with people you do not know. God supplied the children of Israel with manna in Exodus 17. For forty years, He fed them Himself. We must acknowledge Him as our source too.
No matter the depth of our need, our dependence must be on Him always. When we do, we will experience supernatural help and provision.
Think about how you can apply this truth. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Ask the Lord to be Your source.
