Endurance Inspired By Hope
Romans 5:1-5; 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us ( Romans 5:5).
Friend, we are in good company. The Thessalonians endured persecution from the Jews and their own people because they have hope. We can learn from them and endure the temptations that we face.
How? We endure hardship, trials and tribulation because we have hope in Christ and we know what lies ahead of us in Christ Jesus. The Bible encourages us saying, “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (2 Corinthians 4:16-17).
Please, let our endurance of the commotion in our world be inspired by our hope in God. Hope that God will make all things new in the end and we will live the way that He wanted us to live when we were created in Genesis Chapter 1. See Revelation 21:5.
We must fix our eyes on things that are eternal because we know that our God is faithful. He will keep us to the end. Be encouraged that no matter what you are facing right now God is working on your case. In the end, you will see that all things will work together for your good. Shalom.
