We Must Not Be Foolish
Luke 24:13-35
How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! (Luke 24:25, NIV).
As we continue our journey on earth, we must pay attention to the happenings around us. We must not be ignorant of what the Scriptures say about the events in our world.
The ignorance of what Christ said about the end time will make us victims of fear, depression, anxiety and all forms of death and satanic manipulation. To escape all these, I have made Matthew 24 and Luke 21 my favorite passages.
Jesus Christ confirmed the need to be wise when He met with some of His disciples on the road to Emmaus. Following His death, His disciples were disillusioned. They were unaware of what next. But when Christ met with some of them, He rebuked them because they were ignorant of His word and what He had told them.
He said, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!” (Luke 24:25). Friend, we must not be foolish too. The Lord has warned us about what is happening now and would happen in the future, why are we fearful?
All we have to do is stand still and pray. We must continue to preach the gospel because we know how it would all end. In the end, we will win. Let us go back to the word of God, read it and believe it. Then we will not be shaken now and in the days to come. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Thank God for His word that has come to challenge us.
- Pray that you will not be foolish but wise to understand what the Bible says about the end time.
- Pray for peace in your heart and home.
